Default front end noise again

Guy's help me out I have 2008 XB with 17,000 miles no problems at all so far, but I keep noticing that when I run over the little highway center matkers with left frt wheel I get a mild banging feel and sound don't not have that harsh feel on passenger side.
Seems that there is no play in the suspension is it me or do I have a strut problem.

I figured someone would eather have the problem by now or how to solve it must be just me.

Thanks
in advance
paul

Where in TX are you? Ive never had or heard of this problem. Did you look under the car to make sure nothing is hanging? Check the inside of the wheel well too.

Default noise

I'm in waco tx, yea there are a few others that have had the noise.
I have checked every bolt & nut on the car and I mean all of them.
I'm convinced it the strut but I didn't want to replace it unless someone else had the same problem.

Dealer can hear it but they can't find it eather
I figured sooner or later some one would find it.

Other mods? I know that my Fujita CAI has slipped down on the bracket and made contact with the body once and that made a weird clunking/thumping sound from hitting the strut tower area on that side...

When everything's been double-checked, then it's time to consider the problem "normal."

on mine @ 80K it was the bushings, and bolts in the lower arm that were shot. Might want to have them checked out.

I've got a 2010 xB with about 5K miles on it and I have a similar problem.

Whenever I go over bumps in the road, I hear a "banging/clunking" noise from the front end. I took my car to the dealer back in July and after TWO DAYS of trying to figure out what was wrong, they said I had "loose front brake pads." They tightened them and the noise was gone!

In September, the "banging/clunking" noise was back, so I took my car to the dealer again.... they said it was the SAME problem and fixed it.

Now it's mid-November and the "banging/clunking" noise is back AGAIN.

Grrrrrr!!!!

Time to go back to the dealer... AGAIN.

Good luck with your diagnosis!
