Default 16 inch Enkei RPF1's????

my girlfriend and I bought a 2010 xB last week. I have been a huge fan of the Enkei RPF1's and can get a ridiculous deal on them...My girlfriend drives the car mostly so I can't go as crazy with the car as I'd like. I wanted to see what your thoughts are on running a 16x7 RPF1 on the stock tires and then dropping it on some Tanabe NF210's? She likes the wheels as well but doesnt want to fork out more money for tires or else I would opt for the 17 or 18 inch. Thats why we would just run the stock tires. Let me know what you guys think....

Super light wheels for the $$. If you can get a "ridiculous deal on them", I say go for it, and then if your GF hasn't torn them up with curb rash when the stock tires need to be replaced, sell the 16's & get 17's or 18's then.

Oh, and NF210's are full of win!

Thats what I thought but was just looking for some reassurance. Luckily for me, she takes VERY good care of the car and I have instilled enough fear in her that she drove our tC for almost 4 years and never once scraped the wheels or put a dent in it. PHEW

I am a freak when it comes to cleaning our cars so she knows I will notice the slightest thing on the car...CANT WAIT for our goodies to arrive!

I havent really seen any pics of RPF1's on the xB2 at all...know where I can find some? Enkei didnt even know!

These aren't the RPF1's, but they're really close, just to give you an idea what they might look like. In case you're wondering, they're Kosei K1's (18x7.5 +42mm 16lbs) with 225/40 Kuhmo AST tires on Tanabe NF210 springs.

i think RPF1's are one of those styles that can fit most bodies. but i personally think that the 16" RPF1s look weird because the spokes arent full face and there is a sort of step lip. the step plus the short spokes because they are 16's makes the wheel look awkward. i say if you can get an awesome deal on them get them in 17+ please! just my opinion..

Thanks. I was afraid 16's might look a little too small but I am really happy with it and I think it looks great.

Tell me about it....But after seeing other 16 inch set ups, I am about to get 16 inch Enkei RPF1's and Tanabe NF210 springs.

Once I get my Tanabe NF210 springs on I think it will look even better. Part of the reason I decided to go with the 16's was I got a killer deal on that size, the other reason is they are only a little over 11lbs a piece!

Seems like we're in the same boat. Considering my g/f drives the car more than I do, I didn't want to go too extreme with the wheels. Oh and I am not even telling her about lowering the car. Hence the reason I am going with the NF210's. From what I have seen/heard, it doesn't change the ride quality all that much and it just cleans up the wheel gap. She will never notice unless I say something......well at least I hope so! hahahahaha

I also have Kosei K1 TS wheels on my 2nd gen xB. Mine are 18x18 +40 and the tires are Hankook Ventus V12 EVO K110 - 225/40ZR18. Since they aren't 16" rims, I won't pollute this thread with pics, but if you want to see what they look like, you can see photos in my intro thread here.

The photos on the first page are with the stock springs. The photos on the second page are with the Tanabe NF210s.

I hate when people say stuff like this "everyone has fill in the blank".

Not really pointed at you but just a general comment to everyone.

To be honest the thing that seems everyone is doing is blacking out rims and if you have a black car, blacking out the car. I started to black out my tC and then backed away and just went with a clean look.

Anyway box looks good. I assume those are stechs? I'm putting mine on in like 3hrs.lol

No they are motegi ff7's. I love to black out the black one cause it is like when you need to turn down a dark street turn the lights off it is easy to do LOL!!!
