Default 19 inch wheels?

I have never bought wheels or really done anything with cars. I have some extra money and I am looking into buying some wheels. I am looking at the ADR PROPULSION 19x8.50 5x114.3 offset 20 with a 225/35/19 tire. Would these fit? Will they rub? I was also looking at the Stern ST-1 19x8.5 offset 32 with 225/35/19?

You got your car dropped? And why so big, why not go down to 18's?

Probably came from a truck background. CIONIDE's the best at wheel specs, just wait until he comes in here then you'll get a bulletproof answer. Other than offset, all I know is that the TRDs are 19" as well.

Back in your cage!!! J/k.

The OEM TRD pieces are 19x8.5 with an offset of 48mm, I do believe. An 8.5" wide rim with an offset of 20 will most likely rub in the front as well as the rear. The rear is easily remedied by rolling the fenders. Front is as well, but you may have more obstacles.
Your best bet would be the Sterns with the offset of +32mm.

I'll let CIONIDE hop in now.

Thank you sir.

Yea, you're gonna rub with the +20, they'll poke out past the front fenders about 3/4".

Go with the +32 Sterns and the 225/35-19 tires. They should be OK with a mild drop (Eibach Pro-Kit, Tanabe NF210, or TRD springs), although you might need a little fender rolling (no big deal) if you end up rubbing a little. Any larger drop will likely require stretched tires in addition to fender rolling.

Ok thanks. I think I am going to go with the Stern St-1's 19x8.5. But I have one more question, What is the best tire size. I want the biggest tire but with no rubbing. On tire rack I saw 225/35/19 is that the right size?

It all depends on how much you are lowered. What springs are you dropped on, or do you plan on getting in the future?

Also, if you want a wider tire, you could go with the ST-1 in 19x8.5 +38 offset, with 235/35-19 tires, on a mild drop. With a heavy drop you would need the +45 offset to clear 235 tires without rubbing.

Is your priority poking wheel out past the front fenders (+32 offset)? or putting on the widest tire without rubbing?

Thanks for the input. Does anyone have stern wheels? I was doing some research on them and are having doubts about the quality. I really dont know any thing about wheels. People were saying that they heavy and hurt the performance of the car. I not a drag racer and I don't plan on racing at all I just want wheels for the appearance. What are the effects of a heavy wheel for just normal every day driving?

Heavy wheels will decrease your acceleration, increase the resistance to turn-in (not as good for handling), and lower your gas mileage... all results of the increased unsprung mass of heavier wheels & tires.

Additionally, the smaller sidewalls can sometimes lead to cutting a tire or damaging the wheel lip if you hit potholes, but that is more a function of the quality of roads that you normally drive on.

How noticeable will it be? I decided to go with an 18x8.5 instead of the 19. I think it said the wheel was around 27 lbs. How bad will it hurt the gas mileage?

27# wheels will definitely decrease mpg; how much will depend on where you do most of your driving. The extra weight is most significant in city driving, and less of an issue on the highway.

What offset did you end up getting, what springs are/will you be on, and what size tires did you go with?

If you haven't bought them yet, then I suggest finding a similar style wheel that weighs less. What finish were you going to get... black, hyper black, or silver?

No, Im dropped on ksports and im running 20x8.5 no rubbing issues to speak of. At the same time coilovers don't roll like a spring would and the same goes for damping.

The bbs doesn't rub at all but the volk av3 rubs only when i hit a speedbump on parking lots.
I'am currently on 17 and loving it. The bbs's are pretty light and it makes the car more fun to drive and accellerate a lot faster on the take off and more so the tires are cheaper than those 19's
