19" Tire questions
So I recently purchased my 09 XB and the tires were cupped and noisey when I got it. I have TRD 19" wheels and 235/35/19 Toyo tires. I installed NF210 springs and set the alignment. I am going to replace the tires and I am wondering if anyone here has used the Sumitomo HTRZ III tires. I have read several good reviews on them and I want tires that can be cross rotated. Any other tire suggestions? I see a lot of Toyo tires come through the dealership cupped and the vechicle alignment is fine. I just replaced the origional Toyos on my wifes Mazda 5 and you would think we got a new car. Also will a 245/35/19 fit all the way around without rubbing on NF210 springs. I would love a little taller tire if possible. The roads here are not the greatest. Thanks
The NF springs ride a lot better than the stock springs, I would stick with the 235/35 tires since 245/35's are almost 1" larger in overall diameter than the OEM 16's. The 245's might work, but there is the slimmest possibility that you might need to lightly roll the front fenders.
I don't know about the Sumitomo tires, but another good tire that is lightweight and can be completely cross rotated is the Conti ExtremeContact DW.
Hit me up on PM since we both live in Napa. I'm running 245/40's on 18" wheels with +30 offset in the rear, you might want to see what they look like in person. I've got some cupping in the rear also, because of the stock negative 1.5 degree camber and 40k miles on the tires.
BTW, not only are the roads not the greatest, they're some of the worst in the state; read today's front page of the Napa Valley Register.
