Default 19" Tire Sizes

so what size tires does everyone think should be run on the new xb with a 19" wheel? 225/35, 225/40, 235/35? i was planning on going with 16's but for the price, i can get some really nice 19's. now all i need to figure out is what size tire to run. the wheel is 19x8.5 with a 35mm offset. ideas or suggestions?

225/35/19 will be cool. on the gen1 xb, that size is very close to the stock tire size, so no spedo calibration is needed. not sure if the 2nd gen xb has a larger tire or not... i know the 2ng gen is a 5 lug pattern as opposed to the gen1 which is 4 lug..
if you want a little more tread, you can do a 225/40/19..
if you plan to lower it, i would personally do the 225/35/19.. the ride will be fairly smooth either way..
i run a 225/18/35 on a 9 inch rim, and the strech is perfect. on an 8.5 rim, it would hardly be noticable. can't say from experience, but i think a 235 maybe too wide for an 8.5 rim..

i am sure some of the members that work at tire shops will chime in with professional opinions though.
