Thanks 225/45/18 up front and 245/45/18 in the rear. I know should have a 40 on the rear. Mistake in talking with cioncide on my part. 8.5 up front 9.5 in the rear I am pretty sure. Might be 8 up front and 9 in the rear on width

Okay, so I am on Sportlines and looking to run 18x8 rims with a +37 offset. Thinking of going with 225/40R18's. Will this setup rub at all or would I be okay?

i like the same series together. looks equal , like 45 series front and rear or 40 series front and read. everyone is different

It actually looks different. Since I am running wider in back the aspect ratio is off so the front sits a little lower then it should.

No? The point of stagger is to have wider wheels not taller wheels? Thats my opinion but wouldn't make sense why you want uneven pressure. If I would of gotten correct tire height in back there wouldn't be near as much pressure on the front. Sometimes even looks like the front tires are flat.

true but if you tuck it , cant tell and tires look the same on profile. anyways i like your wheels and tires. im gonna try a 215 40 and a 235 40 maybe a 225 im thinking 235

Okay, so I found the rims that I want on clearance for like 500 bucks less than usual, but the offset is +25 rather than the +37. I bet I could make them fit with a little stretch? But what do you guys think. Once again the rim size is 18x8 et25 currently running Eibach Sportlines. Please respond ASAP because if my gf goes for it I'm gonna buy them tomorrow. THANKS!

Try 215/40-18 tires with the 18x8 +25 dropped on Sportlines. Might need a light fender roll, but might not.

If the fender roll doesn't do it a little camber will fix it right up.

On another note, Cionide I need an opinion. I'm running 18x8s with 225/40s right now but I'm thinking of dropping to a 215/40. According to tire diameter calculators the 215 will be just barely smaller than stock diameter and the 225 is a little larger than stock but farther away than the 215s. Question is which size do you think would be best?

It depends on what your goals are, the offset of the wheels, and your drop. Personally, I hate stretched tires, heck I'm running 245/40-18 tires on 18x8 +30 wheels in the rear; of course I'm on NF springs, and don't mind the occasional rub.

If you don't rub with the 225/40's right now, and you're not making any wheel or suspension changes, I'd leave it alone. 215's are just going to leave more fender gap, and have less sidewall height (firmer ride).

Offset is +40 so I don't have clearence problems, well I can if I air it out enough. That is where part of my wanting to go with the 215 is coming from, when fully aired out I sit on the rear tires with the new set-up I'm doing. Can't quite get the body on the ground yet, I'm still about 1/4 -1/2" off the ground. I'm not a fan of stretched tires fro this car since it sees 70 miles a day but I don't think a 215 would be stretched on the 8" width, or would it?

215/40 on 8" wide wheels will be a little stretched, but it sounds like it will work fine for what you're trying to accomplish on air.

Cool, thanks. I'll have to decide I If want the stretch or not, the wife is the daily driver and she has a tendency to rub things every so often.
