Default stock to trd 19's

Hey all,

I finally bought some shoes for the xB. Currently I have the stock wheels with the stock lugs. I recently purchased a set of TRD 19s from a local xb owner. I've been searching the site and scion company sites. I've noticed that you need to buy the additional TRD wheel install kit PTR27-52081. Does this mean that I need to buy a new set of wheel lugs? Is it because the stock lugs are flat and the TRD 19s and other types are conical?

Also, any recommendations for lugs and locks? I guess my budget is roughly $100.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

are the trd 19's 4 lug or 5 lug?
if they are 5 lug, you can just go to an auto parts store and get a set of "tuner" style lugs for about 25$. The stock lugs wont fit the holes and wont look good.. You just need to find out the thread / pitch of the stock lugs and get the same in "tuner" style lugs..

If the trd 19's are the 4 lug version (gen 1) then you need an adapter to go from 5 lug to 4 = you bought the wrong wheels...

If you want to max out your budget of $100, then the TRD lugs can be had: http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...&parts_id=1573

Or follow the advice of the IH8ONYU and CIONIDE and get any 12x1.5 set of tuner lugs. Ebay has some good ones too for much less than TRD. Some inexpensive decent brands are McGard and Gorilla.

What? You haven't already found these? haha

I found black chrome (part # 65357BK): http://www.tmengineering.net/wheels/...linedrive.html
Not that cheap at $89. Might as well get TRDs if they go with the look you're going for.

I've seen the black McGards in the past, but Google was NOT my friend when I looked a couple months ago. Thank you my friend. I need black chrome splines for the look I'm going for, and last time I checked the TRDs were regular bright chrome.

Default Much Thanks

Thanks for the replies everyone. With your links and advice I'll be putting my rims on within a few weeks. Black Mcgards spline drive tuner lugs on XB2 19" TRD rims.

The TRDs are basically rebadged McGard.
