I have my eye on a set of rims locally but I am afraid that the rims may be too big. Here are the specs

19x11 et22
19x9.5 et15

Would that be too much?

If not, what would be the best tire size?

 

The real question is how much fender work do you want to do to fit them? The lips will sit at least an inch outside of the stock fender lip. You will need to roll the fenders and pull them a bit to fit those wheels. If they are local see if the owner will let you test fit them to see how much they actually will poke and then you can really decided if you want to do it.

 

Front will fit perfectly fine with a narrow 225/35R19. The 11 could fit, but the fenders will look awful and you'll still probably rub.

Find a different set.
