Default Wheels on Stock Tires

Subject basically explains my question.... i have not a clue what i'm doing as far as wheels.
Can rims be put on the stock tires? if so how big?
I can't find a forum on this, if anyone can that would be very helpful
Thanks
Matt

You can stretch the stock tires all the way up to a 16x8 wheel, but 16x7 or 16x7.5 are the most popular. Then when your stock tires are ready to be replaced, you can step up to 225/50-16 tires. I'm guessing your doing this because you want new wheels, but you don't want to buy new tires also. Personally I want larger diameter wheels, so I'm just waiting until I wear out the stockies. When you find wheels you like, check back with me and we can work out the best offset for you, depending on what choices are available. Almost forgot, since you mentioned not having a clue, you need to make sure that the lug pattern is 5 x 114.3mm (5 x 4.5").

P.S. This should have been posted in the "wheel & tire" forum, so don't be surprised if it magically disappears from here when a Moderator moves it.

Sorry man, I laughed really hard... I know you're new to this, but yes, you have to buy tires that are the same size as the wheels.

The most popular tire size for 18" wheels is 225/40-18.

The most popular tire size for 19" wheels is 235/35-19.

There are other options depending on what width & offset wheels you get, and whether or not you go with a staggered set-up, but I just wanted to give you an idea of what the size specification would look like for 18's or 19's. Do some looking around, and after you find wheels you like, I'll help you with offset and tire sizes.

That's really for the idiots with no common sense at all, you're just a nooB looking for some helpful input, so I'm happy to be there for you. Don't hesitate to PM me with any questions, the only stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked & answered.
