Gauge Interest in XD Carbon Cowl Scoop

I know the battery location of the XD would be in the way of air flow, but a future project of making a carbon duct could be taken on if the battery location can be worked around.
I've gotten enough positive feed back and some direct support that will allow me to move forward with this project. Over the next 2 or 3 weeks I hope to have the final shape nailed down and a prototype in place. I'll try to keep this thread updated and as things progress I'll start looking into becoming a site merchant/vendor which will allow the part to be offered exclusively to SL members.
Thanks for all the help.
Thanks for all the help.
Want to thank Jim from Rogue7motorsports for helping out the Scion community by working with the Scion community to bring us a quality aftermarket part,...I am looking forward to working with Jim and we will keep you updated with the progress...
I just got an oem part today, thanks to YELOSUB. I'll start working on a couple ideas for shape and after running them by YELOSUB, I'll post some pics of the to see what everyone else thinks.
RogueSe7ens, if this is going to go thru PM me, I'll get this information posted up on another board. I'm really excited to see something come thru on here!
And if it does happen, any way I can secure myself one?

Ok, here is an email I got from Jim:
Hey Tim, I started playing around with some shapes and wanted to pass on a few pics. Keep in mind these are just for the basic shape and are pretty crude. The first one is a bit bigger and more squared off and the second more like the one I make for the Fit. Let me know if you have any ideas or thoughts, I have a couple more shapes started too.
Here are the pics:

And here is what it will basically look like when it's finished...Of course this is on the Honda FIT but you get the basic idea...I'm hoping to get mine done in Black and Orange kevlar weave...

I gotta give props to Jim...He is very quick to respond to emails and works very quickly to get things done...I really think the Scion community is going to benefit from him and his product/s...Hope you guys enjoyed...

The second design looks best to me without it being on the car... But the first design seems like it would follow the body lines more... I'm definitely in either way!!
Hmmm... Yeah, definitely first design!

UPDATE:
Got an email from Jim, here's what he says:
Hey Tim,
I did cut off the stepped out area, but this is just the prototype and those details can always be added back on. I was able to get a quick part of just the scoop section today and I had some orange scraps I was able to use to give you an idea of the color. I know it looks a bit goofy but the paper on the front of two of the pics it's to represent where I'm thinking the mesh would look best, but that is another detail that can be adjusted. The main concern with size it when the hood is raised and lowered. Since the hood back travels on an arch set by the hinges, we'll just need to make sure there is no interference and once it's open there should be no problem.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Jim

I suggested to him bringing the two-tier one like in the first protoype since that seemed to be the most popular...I also asked about screen placement...It has been a complete pleasure working with Jim and he has been keeping me updated with emails and pics...Remember this is NOT a final product and Jim is just kinda showing me what things are looking like...BTW, I LOVE the orange and black...
Now for some pics...
