Default Hardware store parts for mod?

Recently, I discovered how hard it is to mod an XD since it’s not quite a sport hatch, and it’s not a coupé either.
On top of that I have magnetic grey so carbon fiber is useless and black plasti dip doesn’t quite pop out.
Anyway. What cheap and effective mods do you suggest using hardware store parts? (list the hardware and type of mod please).

So far I’ve changed the interior lights to LED so it has a warm white light.

it'd be aesthetic so I would just to vinyl overlap. On a Magnetic grey there is little contrast or that oomph you usually get.

I've seen the lip done two ways. I'm not sure which is better.

I've searched high and low. Doesn't seem like most people mod their XD. In fact the only people I see drive them where I live are middle aged people.. which makes me feel awkardddddddd

@Dam262a
will lowering it by 1-1.5" put extra wear on any of the parts? If it doesn't at all, I think i'll do that.

Nahh, with a minimal drop like that, you should be fine for years.

As far as middle aged people driving an xD. Yea mostly but the younger people driving them usually have some mods. I bought some led flashers from WalMart for like $8 for a pair and bolted them under the car using the plastic piece near the wheel well. I spliced that wire into the same wire that people use for the keyhole led. Another cheap mod which I'm in the process of doing is a wind splitter under the bumper.

Well I'm 38 so I suppose im nearing middle age. Anyway, I've done 35% tints, 215/55/16 yohohama's and a 3" shifter extension which makes driving it much more comfortable for me and reminds me of my old RWD toyotas. Also put new JBL speakers in the rear doors but that mod sucked. Doesn't sound any better. I'd love to drop it on 17's though

What's a wind splitter?
I think LED under the car are illegal here.

I have yet to tint my windows. The legal limit is ridiculous and I want to go 40-30-20 but I haven't done it yet in fear of getting caught. After 7 years I'd driving I got two tickets (first ever) in my life two weeks apart.

I saw tons of scion xd in California, where I live it hasn't been too popular. Especially with younger people.

Is there an easy and cool way to mod the clock?

should just be a few LED's that light it up. if you crack it open and look at the board they're labeled such as "LED1" "LED2" something along those lines. check out garage1217.com for LED's he's having a huge blowout sale, if they don't have what you want, hit up oznium.com huge invetory

Wouldn't this change the LED color? I was hoping to actually change the clock easily with a nicer LED one.

Don't know if that's a part that can be bought and swapped easily

not sure about changing the clock all together, but you are correct, the led swap will only change the color
