Default BRAKES!

Are our brake parts swapable with the Yaris like almost everything else chassis-related is? I really wanna put some slotted rotors and RedStuff pads on the front and some decent drums on the back but there doesn't seem to be anything out there yet. Anyone have any suggestions? I gotta do something about the pads and rotors cause my braking is getting really bad as of late...

The Yaris is 4 lug. XD 5 lug

So that's No in regards to the front discs and rear drums.

Regarding the pads, I'm not sure. I believe the front pads from the xd are a little larger than the Yaris ones. The design is pretty much the same tough.

Easiest thing would be go to the parts store and ask for Yaris and xD pads and put them side by side.
Same thing for the rear drum shoe pads.

There are performance pads and shoe pads available for the Yaris... so you could use those.

In regard to slotted front discs, you can contact R1 rotors and just gave the the measurements of the xD rotors (If they don't already have them) and they can machine a set for you. They have alot of blank rotors. They just need to find the closest and machine it.

Microimageonline.com is a distributor of R1, they can probably help you. (Same store that will be carrying the NST u-Pulleys)

Thats why I decided to post, I work for an auto parts store (O'Rielly) and no one has them, they all show that no one makes rotors or drums or rear shoes for the drums. I've even called all of our contacts at NAPA, Advanced, Pep Boys, freakin everywhere and no one has them...

Thanks though...

That looks pretty nice, they say bigger wheels may be required to fit these? Would stock 16" not work? would you need 17"?

yeah you need 18" i believe because I have 17" right now and there only about an 1" gap between the wheel and the rotor

just because they have same pattern doesn't mean they use the same parts. its already been posted that both cars use different rotors and calipers
