From what I have heard, 6-8 lbs on our cars would be a good safe zone for forced induction. I'm wanting to go turbo if it won't involve a ridiculous amount of work as my car only has 35k miles on it, and I need the car to remain reliable. Don't want to blow up the motor is all.

There is a cheap turbo sitting in the garage but I think an ideal setup would mean using a smaller unit than what I have to battle turbo lag. Correct me if I'm wrong as any input is appreciated. I'm getting into the performance side of things as soon as my suspension is done (hopefully this month).

As for the manifold, since no aftermarket turbo manifolds are available, I've seen one car using the stock manifold but chopped at the bottom and the mounting flange welded to that. Use of TC injectors would supply the extra fuel needed. Intercooler plumbing probably wouldn't be too difficult. But one of the only things I have a hard time understanding is how the computer systems will work. My research is in the beginning stages so sorry if I sound like an idiot. lol

Overall, I think just an added 75-100hp to these cars would make them a BLAST to drive and would satisfy many xD owners.

False.. nitrous if installed properly works wonders in small cars in small shot applications. I bet that a xA, or xD with nitrous, would walk a tC2 in a race with full bolt-ons for around $400-500. Then a full intake, exhaust, and weight reduction, and the tC2 would wonder what that was flying right by it.

Small shots of nitro are totally safe if set up correctly. Its the idiots that blow up their cars giving nitro a bad rep, because its easy to do wrong.
