Don't know what is going on and the dealer said it was normal. When I start the car it starts with no rattleing noise but if I let the car sit for more then 45 mins and restart it it is there. It has to sit . If you crank it back up it does not make the valve. The car has the oil changed ever 4-5 thousand miles. All done at the dealer toyota oil filter oil level full. I is like when the oil is hot it is all running down the the oil pan and the engine is still hot. But if every thing is cold it does not do it . toyota said it was to do with the VVTi. not sure about that . Just wanted to see if anyone else has it.

The noise youre hearing actually does have to do with vvti. all new cars with vtec or vvti etc. do it. i think it has to do with valve clearance.
