how quiet is your super turbo muffler?

The manifold to engine flange on the xD is the same as the one on the 1ZZ engine. The flange and bolts line up correctly.

The 2ZZ is different.

This means that if some one can get access to a Manifold from a Celica GT or a Corolla or a MR- Spyder, it could be easily modified to fit a Turbo on the xD

too quiet, like STOCK quiet i swear...the only thing is that people stop racing with me when they hear the external w/g LOL, and the bov, scares them away...LOL

 

EDIT: Can you use one of those intake manis for an NA setup without any modification? If modification were needed how much and in what way?

I'm assuming that this would also mean that any aftermarket intake mani for said models would also "fit"?

Intake Manifold

This thread is about his TURBO set up. The manifold he is talking about is the exhaust manifold (Turbo Manifold)
In other words, a turbo manifold from other car with the 1zz engine (Celica GT, Corolla, MR-Spyder, Matrix) could be modified to hold a turbpo for a xD.

By untouchable's explanation, the engine flange of the manifold from a 1zz alings correctly to the 2ZR engine.


Regarding the intake manifold question. I don't think the intake manifold from a 1ZZ would fit pur engine. And even if they do.... Intake manifolds are tuned for an specific engine. The results would be totally unknown....

thanks for clearing that up. Boy I had my hopes up there for a sec. I know we're talkin turbos, i just am an engine noob and heard manifold and immediately thought "intake". sorry, i had to ask. anyways, thanks.
