Don't drive without the radio bezel with the hazard switch, clock, and passenger airbag off lamp. It'll light the Red airbag light in the cluster. Evidently the system wants to verify that the passenger off circuit is intact.
The warning light went out as soon as I installed the bezel (and connected it) with the first key cycle.
