The classic "No Sound" from a stock Pioneer radio problem
Hi, all. I have a 2009 Scion xD. It had a Pioneer stock head unit in it, but I wanted to replace it with one which would give me Bluetooth, HD Radio, and would connect with my phone via USB port.
I settled on a Pioneer head unit with the part number PT546-00140, with the model number AXCP-Q14U T10015.
I was able to match the power plug and the speaker plug from my wiring to the unit. I got a 28-pin to 20-pin adapter, as well as the antenna adapter.
They all plug in correctly, but I get no sound from the radio. Everything else seems to be working great; the radio pulls in HD signals, the bluetooth picks up the phone, and the USB works.
Now, I jumped the blue wire from the antenna adapter to the blue wire on the power loom. Could that be the problem? I saw some versions of installation help which mentioned the blue wire
having to go to the wire that provides power to the radio (B+) and/or the power radio antenna (a blue/white wire, which this radio does not have).
What am I doing wrong here? Well, aside from going with a stock radio rather than aftermarket.

pin-outs are diagrams of connectors with numbering and function.
Try this:
1. find on car harness side black wire going into position 8 which is marked as ANT+B. Clip this wire and tape up exposed ends
2. turn key on and navigate around a bit
3. then key off and back on
4. push voice-command button, do you hear a beep?
5. turn up volume, does it change on display?

It looks like my "8" is not supposed to be used.
However.
I look at the live harness and I see a black wire where the 8 slot is supposed to be. I will try it and let you all know what happens.
