What is this port in my car???

Not 100% sure, but it looks like it could possibly be a dealer "add-on". Not sure if the xD's come with an OEM immobilizer built-in, but it's fairly common for a lot of car dealers to install something simple like "Pro-Lock", etc. Basically it's a simple manual engine immobilizer device. They do it for extra overnight security for vehicles on their lot... and then just leave it installed when the vehicle is sold.
Like I said, I don't know for sure, but that's what a lot of the aftermarket engine immobilzer units look like. Just a thought, hope that helps.

That is what I was thinking too, but wouldn't it have a removable piece to activate the lock? It looks like something plugs into it, but nothing that I got with the car. I'll have to ask the dealer when I take it in there next.
Thanks.

oh... added thought... to answer the "plug-in" piece part of your question/comment.... Most are key type (aka solid-state)... but more security systems are going to a programmable "fob" style, similar to how the chips in most new factory/OEM ignition keys have in them ALONG with the metal cut key portion of it. So it will only work with that car and no other. So it could be that style as well. they are small enough to easily fit on a normal key-ring.
