Hi,

I just had the dealer install a light kit in my 2010 xD. I think they may have installed the cup holder LEDs on the wrong side. They are installed so I can see the LEDs in the cup holders (basically installed on the dashboard side of the cup holders) and are kind of bright and annoying. So I looked at the install docs I have and if I'm seeing the diagram right it shows them being installed on the side closest to the seats (like my '05 xB was installed). Can anyone confirm this before I take the car back to the dealer and start a war?

They installed it wrong, the LED's are suppose to be hidden under the cub holder flaps, so they are not a distraction to the driver...

 

I just did the kit on my 2008 XD and they are to be installed facing the dash not the driver. I see their reflections on the cup trim when driving. Are you going to let them patch the holes? I would demand a new colunm. see page out of installation manual
