Finally picked up my xD and got more info on the 16" alloys; Scion has a 'stop sale' order on them. The parts guy said it's most likely one of two scenarios: 1) a manufacturing defect, or 2) supply is low (dealers who could not get them would lose sales to those who could).

From the rims I've seen at the dealer for any of the Scions, I have to say I'd prefer to get aftermarket. Seen better rims from other guys and they're not that expensive either.

Also, the rims in that photo look bad imo.

Eh, the whole reason why I wanted to get rims directly from scion was to have it in my payments and have toyota themselves install it because of the TPMS.

But since they didn't offer the rims, I'll have to go with aftermarket rims which probably won't happen until next year for me. My question is, if I install aftermarket rims would the guys that put them on know what to do to adjust the TPMS for that rim and what if I go up to 17s???

the only way they can encounter a problem with changing the tpms is if they dont have a 12 mm socket to take it off other than that your in the clear no matter what size it is...

The manager at the Scion dealer called me last night and said that there are 550 sets of these wheels sitting in a warehouse in California. They are not going to be released until they decide how many each of the distribution centers should be receiving. He claims it could be a couple of weeks or a couple of months. He did mention that there is nothing wrong with them. No defects or anything.

Looks like I will be going aftermarket.

That is so weird that they're holding them back like that. So many people are wanting those wheels on the xD.
