Default 2008-2009 XD Owners Vendor Needs Your Help

We need a donor OEM metal hatch & Fenders to make a mold for the carbon fiber parts. In exchange, you will receive a free Carbon Creations carbon fiber hatch & Fenders for your vehicle.

Please contact me for details.

Is the hatch going to be strong... I hear of alot of problems with a cb hatch, cracking and rattling with a system? Will it be worth it?

A carbon fiber hatch and fenders...? Sorry, but those parts in CF on any car look really cheesey. I would much rather have a CF hood and call it a day.

^ Hate much?

I think it would be a lil tough to drive around with no fenders or hatch for awhile. Best bet is getting someone local and just holding the car til your done. Good luck, I'll be looking forward to the parts!

i would definately be more interested in a carbon fiber hood as well. but i cant complain about more companies taking interest in this car.

and as far as looking cheesy, you can always paint it to match... so youd at least get the decent weight reduction.

^^^ haha, good point. if seen coffee tables bigger than our hood. extreme dimensions already makes a cf hood now that i think about.

anyway, extreme dimensions, if you get a donor, could you weigh the stock hatch vs. the cf one for us? whats the weight difference with the cf hood?

most of the weight is really in the glass, so for real light weight, u would wanna replace it with plexi, but that stuff scratches from a feather touching it

^^ what i was saying. I think the best bet for these parts would be for a few ppl to pool money together to buy the replacement parts as a donor and send em out from there. Thats what I did when I was trying to get a carbon fiber trunk lid for my old 92 Accord

im reading that the oem glass may need to be replaced on some cars... is this true for the xD?
