How have your xDs been holding up against rust and paint chipping? I've been looking at a lot of Honda Fits, but have been turned off because of the frequent complaints of paint and rust problems due to their Chinese manufacturing. Now I'm looking at an xD and I'm curious about the paint over time.

 

I own a 2011 xD. Rust really has not been much of an issue except for under the scuff plates. (I live in Canadia... Salt rules here unfortunately, especially in Quebec) That being said, the only rust I have encountered are under the scuff plates. To alleviate the issue, I plan on grinding off the bubbles, painting and adding a strip of ProTex (transparent vinyl wrap) to prevent further corrosion.
