I went to my local dealer today and they scheduled me for the recall without question, even though my state is not on the list.

Just had my 2009 XD in today for 10K service and had the vacuum port recall done at the same time. Service dept didn't even need/want the notice Toyota had mailed to me last month. Everything took an hour and 45 min.

I just got my recall notice, went in and they checked my VIN and said no problem, so you dont have to actually live in the state if you got the notice, Toyota flags your VIN if they sent you a notice...

I have yet to hear back from Alyssa btw, I checked all Scion xD's sold since June 2007 to present date and we have never sold an xD to an Alyssa, confused... She said she emailed first, I answer all Scion related emails here, and have yet to field any inquiry about the recall notice... I then checked all service records for xD owners since June 2007, and again not one Alyssa on the list... I really want to help out the OP but I can't seem to find her.. and she has only left the 2 posts on this thread and never posted again...I tried PMing her but got nothing back either... if anyone knows her can you have her contact Ted @ 781-239-6708 (my direct line at the dealership)

Just to follow up on this, it's an old thread but I figure it's only fair to post since it was sort of my fault. I moved and never received the notification. I updated my address and phone with toyota financial and the scion repair people when I got my 5k done, and I got notification about my 5k at my new address, so my guess is somewhere my address is correct, and somewhere else it's incorrect, and they just happened to use the incorrect one when the notifications were sent. Not sure what else it would be, but Wellesley Scion contacted me and sent up a brake appointment.
