door sill area scratched
hello,
about an hour ago i accidently brushed my foot again the door sill/door jam (I don't think its the door sill, its the plastic area that's between the door sill and the inside of the car where the door closes.) The material thats used for this part can be scratched easily, I think scatching this part is inevitable since thats where your feet goes in. i was wondering if there is anything out there that can protect this area or if theres like a product i can use to remove these scratchess.

you are talking about the interior trim part, right?
If so... good luck. Of my 10 cars, I've yet to see one that didn't get scratched up there within a few days. Even the more expensive cars with tougher parts still get scratched.
Those damn parts should be metal...

The painted area or the plastic part..? On my plastic parts on the door (where my feet pass & hit) I use vinyl cleaner and it works fine. Also use some elbow grease too ;)
If you're talking about the actual paint part of the door sill, I don't know. I can't see scratches all that well on my xD truthfully.

if it's scratched.. then you can try your best to make it look better.
if it's scuffed... oh yeah.. that should come off okay.
a clear vinyl protectant like a clear bra can help protect that area if you wanna spend the money for it.

My xA has a deeeep scratch from god knowns where on this same part... the plastic there is just too soft for where feet go on a daily basis...
i wonder how much a 3m covering would cost (that's the same as the vinyl covering, right Squall?). Wouldn't the part need to be sanded down, though? IDK how well that stuff would stick to dimpled and textured plastic..

sigh, its too late now..the damage is already done!
oh well, i have to learn to get over it, that area is going to be scartched sooner or later. i hope theres is some kinda black protective sticker i can use for that area.
