E brake cable sticking

Anyone have problems with their emergency brake not disengaging? I've had this happen all week, granted the temps are very cold, but...

I've been told not to use the e-brake in the winter -- as general advice, not as something specific to the xD. I use mine anyway and have not had any issues. Have you had the brake port recall done?
