Default goodbye my xDizzle....

well its been about a week, and I suppose I'm ready to make my ScionLife announcement. Whether you agree with my decision is up to you, but personally, it was the right one for me.

On August 1st, I said goodbye to my RS1 xD, and picked up a 09 Blue Ribbon Metallic Scion tC. This is actually my 3rd tC and 4th scion.

The xD is a great car, however, there were just a few things that I could not stand about it. I did not like how it felt on the highway. I thought the 5 speed tranny felt terrible and was improperly geared. The car does not have enough power, the back seats are too small. I suppose I could go on and on about it, but theres no point.

I was pretty successful with the xD in that I won 13 first place trophies from this March till July.

I will miss her though, as I do with every car.

The last pictures I have of her before I said goodbye...

why not wait for next years tC? How much did u get for the car btw? I took a look at a 07 Si that was only 14g and they only offered 10g. Needless to say I laughed myself out of that dealership

Dealership gave me 13.5k for it, I thought it was fair

I don't want to wait for the next tC, I am really not a fan of the Fuse. However, I heard it will have a 2.5 @ 180HP 6speed tranny

i thought so, but didn't figure they'd use the same paint as the xB. it's a hot color though. what's the plan for the tC?

a scion lover. like myself. when they were first introduced, i fell in love. i knew i had to own one. low and behold, 1 year i've had my xD, and i DO love it.

good luck with your new ride.

my buddy got a dezod kit and tuned from them. we just got back from buffalo last weekend. it's a sweet ride now, but i will never turbo my car due to MPG loss...

it's a shame you had all these bad things things to say, yet you modded the hell out of it anyway. weird. the gearing on all the Scions is funky. the big engine just makes up for it in the tC. not enough power? eh, you gotta know how to use that power. besides. How fast you need to go anyway? I get to 70 and it a traffic jam here on the highways, so 125HP is plenty, hell my measely xB1 is enough to get around. but I know it's tough to give up those american habits by buying small cars. small cars rule!!

Jim, I am not going to argue with you about anything. However, I do know how to drive, but even at the track this weekend, a 5speed xD ran a 17.78 when I was running 15.8 in a stock tC 5sp.

That is a huge power difference. The xD was bus lengths behind.

For someone who likes to race on the track the xD is really just unacceptable to me in stock form. The body roll is terrible even lowered with the rear sway bar.

However, these are all my opinions whether or not you agree.

When I purchased my first Scion I test drove all five models. All Scions are slow but their uniqueness kind of made up for their lack luster performance. The tC however is just a coupe IMO and for the price of a new model you start to enter the territory of the Mazdaspeed3, SRT-4, and Cobalt SS. IMO even with a TRD supercharger the tC cannot compete with those high performance models
