How to ____ off an xD
I ran it in 3 parts with overlap. In theory you can do it one piece sideways, but it will be a job for a vinyl virtuoso.
Sign shop vinyl is the same stuff that people sell as pre-cut overlays around here most of the time - just your regular Avery brand outdoor vinyl or if you are lucky - Oracal brand stuff. I think it's 24" wide normally.

I thin the lip separately costs about 1/3 of the price of the kit. Get in touch with Ken from TRDSparks - he can probably get it for you for around $375 or so, and yes it's unpainted.

Black vinyl used to "simulate" a custom front bumper does make the cut.
I saw a Yais hatch with his front bumper center section black, but it was incorprated into a full two tone Black/White paint scheme. Still looked a little like a GTI knock-off, but time and money made it look nice.

Also, if you remember, the first custom pics of the xD on the Scion.com website, (photoshopped) some had blacked out front bumpers. But those too appeared to be custom paint, not vinyl.
Sorry, but it just looks tacky.
This is the "vinyl racing stripes" mod of the future. And it will be played out just as quickly. Take my word for it.
