Default How to see coolant level

The coolant reservoir on my 2008 is yellowed and very difficult to see through. Makes it nearly impossible to see what the coolant level is. Anyone have any good ideas for how to know what the coolant level is? Also, I've accidentally overfilled mine. Should I just leave it, or is it important to get the excess out?

You can get a turkey baster and suck out the excess. Sorry, don't know what to tell you about the reservoir. I checked ebay but there wasn't anything for your year and model. Might be worth looking at the xB and or xA reservoirs to see if they look similar. There is also a "universal" res but it might require a custom bracket.

Another option might be the junk yard. Good luck with the fix.

I have a similar problem on one of my older vehicles. I have found that if you shine a led bright flashlight directly into the side of the reservoir you can get a decent indication of the level.
Have you tried dorman auto parts? Maybe amazon?

Or just pop cap off resevoir and shine light in from above. Easy to see top of water level.
