There are aftermarket TPMS systems with displays ;)

And yes, I really liked individual tire pressure display on my 350Z.

cool. does it display each tire label? i know Infiniti's older system only displayed 4 readings, but not the tires they belonged to since it was too hard to program each tire rotation.

Yes, the $180 aftermarket one does display each tire pressure and temperature.

no kidding! i would pay for that too. today, the light stayed on all day until i pulled in my driveway tonight & then it turned off. it's just annoying. an upgrade on that feature would actually make sense.

right now, a light that goes on for apparently no reason, is no help at all. i'll never know when to trust it. i shouldn't admit it, but i'm so bad about watching my tires, that that was actually one of the many selling points for me. oh, well. i suppose life could be worse

If it's that random - swim by the dealer and get it checked out. Mine hasn't malfunctioned yet and it's been 3K+ miles.

you might have a tire that's just right at the line, and when it's cold it stays right at the line... if the dealership says its all fine, try checking your tires when they are cold (4+ hours of no use) and see what pressure is being read. One of my nissans had a tire with a very, VERY slow leak in it that would sometimes trigger the monitor and other times would make it flash on and off once or twice while driving. thought the system was messed up, but ended up having a hole the size of a grain of salt

i know i have a bad habit of checking my tires after they heat up (usually when filling up my tank), which doesn't give an accurate reading...

Hope that helps.
Just to let SLODEANIS know that I reset the TPMS yesterday, per his suggestion. The monitor hasn't lit up since, but the weather hasn't been as cold since my original post either, so I'm not yet certain if it had any effect.
