Not looking to blind anyone, and my usual Sylvania lights are usually fine, especially since I've had my lenses cleaned and clear-coated. But still, there are times we plan trip into wooded areas on roads that aren't well lit. It would really be nice to be able to take advantage of the new LED technology, but I don't know if they are even a possible option for my car. Plus I see a lot of videos about LEDs sometimes not creating the proper kind of beam pattern. I do know they will probably be expensive, and likely not returnable. If it is doable and someone has successfully installed them on this car, I'd really like a product recommendation. Thanks!
Putting in new bulbs into the headlight assembly isn't too difficult on the xD. The part number for our bulbs is 9003, but really the biggest thing that matters is the bulb size, which is H4.
Given that we use H4 bulbs, I found a pair of well-rated LEDs off of Amazon for under $30, which I think isn't too bad a price for headlight bulbs.

Again, the actual replacement itself is pretty simple. Check out this video of a guy replacing the bulbs in less than five minutes.
Thanks. I've always found bulb replacement a bit tedious, especially the drivers side one as its pretty cramped. And that rubber doesn't always disconnect from the socket as easilly as it ought too. I also managed to break the actual old bulb last time I changed them, and the bulb glass is still sitting inside the headlight at the bottom. I'll have to fish it out with some duct tape and a screwdriver. Then on the drivers side, the little piece of metal I'm supposed to hook the retainer clip around broke. Fortunately there is a nearby hole I could attach it to, but usually after a lot of scratching up of my hands. LOL! But hopfully with LEDs apparently lasting forever, I won't have to deal with it again after this one change. Thanks for the advise!
