Oh yeah, I got a question! Hopefully someone can help me. When I got my windows tinted, the guy at the shop got all this water stuff all over my interior. And I tried cleaning it off with a damp towel but that didn't really clean it that well and now it appears to have white scruff marks on it? Any idea of how I can get rid of the two without damaging the interior???

I also checked the Maintenance portion of the forum but they are all mainly questions from tC or xB owners. So i wanted an opinion from an xD owner. ThankS!

What part is that white stuff on in your interior? I see some white stuff on my dash and I think thats about it I'm pretty sure if you use a vinyl cleaner and a rag should take care of it. If not call the place and ask what you can use to take it off.

Btw, how are you liking your xD?

The "pore" like interior gets scuffy and stuff falls into the holes alot. I had white spots from the water, baby shampoo mixture that the tint place used. It came clean with some armor all.

The interior is a pain to keep clean tho...sacrifice I'm willing to take for my xD. :D

Nice to see a fellow Blue owner.

The area where the windows are right above the door handle and the automatic window buttons.

I guess thats normal seeing as how, I'm not the only one with the problem.

I'll just have to live with it I guess.

Go out and buy some Meguiar's vinyl cleaner, use a rag and go in a circular motion. I has some white residue as well on the doors and dash, but it came off really easy with that stuff.

I usually try and keep my car clean anyways so keeping it clean isn't that big of a problem. Then again.. I actually like cleaning so.. that might be another reason why I don't mind.

Default VSC?

Looks like you have an automatic. Do you have Vehicle Stability Control option? My dealer has informed me xD with VSC is rare in Southern California. I would have to wait or get one with added accessories that boost the cost over 22k.

I don't want to wait or spend the bucks on VSC with extras I don't need but I'm just wondering if you have the VSC.

No I chose not to get VSC. It would be a nice added feature but in my opinion, with the kind of weather we have in SoCal I don't think that it would be relevant to spend 600 dollars for it. I think the only time it would be useful is if we had to dodge a ladder coming off of someone's damn pick up or when it's raining. But how often does that happen here? lol probably like 50/50 chance? Anyways, I chose to keep the 600 dollars and the sales guy that sold my car, he didn't want to add any features in my car. I even asked about wheels and tints and alarm and he told me not to get them. So, I pretty much have no add ons besides the carpet for my floors. lol

I was told the same thing about VSC and makes a lot of sense, I live in Palm Springs and it hasn't rained here in 2 years! LOL! My insurance would've given me a credit for it since its a safety feature but its no big deal and I'm saving $650! I'm dealing with the internet manager recommended by AAA Auto Buying Club. The xD is exempt from the Auto Club special pricing but I may be able to get a deal on accessories. I'd like to get the cargo cover and alarm but if I can get a good deal on Lo Jack, I'll skip the alarm.

How was your experience with the dealer, did they have same price quoted as on their website? Doc fee is limited to $55 in SoCal but did they try to add on BS fees like "dealer prep?" I'm skipping the GAP and extended warranty. The GAP insurance is going to be with my current insurance carrier. If I can't get a good deal on the accessories, you and I are going to have the same car- a bare bones Nautical Blue automatic xD!

Well this was my first experience with any dealership and I have to say it was a very great first experience. I paid exactly the listed pure price for my car. And the sales guy did not try to add any B---S--t fees whatsoever. For crying out loud, the guy told me not to get anything added on to the car at the dealership cause it was too expensive (i.e. wheels, tints) and said to me exactly in these words "I'm trying to save you money." I WAS SOLD. lol But it all makes sense in the end anyways, with VSC with the kinda weather we have in SoCal and PLUS, i wasn't going to get a deductible from my insurance.

Also, I don't know about other dealerships but the one I went to and the sales guy I dealt with. Everything was definitely pure priced. The price you see, is the price you pay. So I honestly couldn't negotiate anything with him as he would just refer to the pure price guarantee.

How exciting, have you gone down to the dealership to see the car and test drive it yet???

Your salesman is a stand-up guy, finally a comment about an honorable dealership trying to SAVE the customer money. I was considering buying a toyota corolla or matrix but dread the haggling BS, so decided to go for Scion's pure pricing. I'm a toyota man and didn't want to leave the family.

I have visited the dealership and met the fleet manager attempting to get a deal on my trade-in, got low-balled like I figured so I sold it Friday for more than what the dealership was offering. I've secured outside financing so the trade-in was a separate deal from the price of xD. I was pressed for time so I didn't get a chance to test drive but I have driven a '07 Yaris which has the same mechanicals- sweet little car with only 106hp! I figure the xD with 128hp and more substance will be significantly better.

Since you didn't get the Scion Alarm check out California Ravelco at www.nohotwire.com. I've been researching after market anti-theft systems and this device looks like the best. No thefts in 30 years of existence! I'm going to ask the dealership if they can contact these guys to install in my new car. Cheaper than the Scion Alarm system.

Actually the guy I dealt with didn't try to give me any add-ons only and the color I wanted had the alarm system in it so I got it. Plus when I walked in I knew what I wanted so the guy knew he wasn't getting any accessories out of me. What surprised me is that I got the floor mats thrown in. Seems like other xD owners got them too instead of paying for them.

I also got an extended warranty because 3 yrs or 36000 mi isn't very long. I found out they offer a cheaper warranty which isn't listed on their handy sheet they bring out. It's the Penske warranty sheet. I actually got a 7yr / 90000 for $100 less than the 6yr warranty they offered on the piece of paper. Plus it only made my monthly payment go up by about $18.
