Default not even one month and its wrecked....

wife rearended someone.... pushed the radiator back into the motor but air bags didnt go off. I wish it was totaled so we could just get a new one but I seriously doubt it. It didnt even have 2000 miles on it!!!! And now we will be driving a once wrecked brand new car!!!! I hate that.

While that admittedly blows, what is more important is how your wife and the poor sucker she hit is doing. Are they OK?
Cars can always be replaced, the wife, and the other driver can not.

I hope the accident wasn't too serious as you can expect years of lawsuits etc., even from what seems like a minor bump.

I don't mean to sound unsympathetic, but you really need to get your priorities in order. A more serious accident that would have totalled your car could have caused (further/more serious) injuries to your sig other and probably the other driver as well.

I feel your pain. I got rear ended in my 1 week old 08 Yaris with less than 900 miles on it. I got pushed into a truck and totaled the car. My big issue with that was that I waited 3 weeks for that car and couldn't get another one. it forced me into the XD. I like the XD but it doesn't get the mileage of the Yaris and that was the reason I bought the car.

anyway. I'm glad everyone involved is ok and sorry to hear about the car..

Had the vehicle totaled, your wife probably would have had injuries. Might want to think about it that way too. Wife > cheap econo car

As long as the vehicle is repaired right what difference does it make really? I know the value will go down but you could always file a diminshed value claim with your insurance company.

well she only hit at 15-20 mph, and she said she didnt hardly feel it...well she felt it obviously but she sadi it wasnt bad at all, the air bag s did not even deploy. That did $6500 worth of damnage, thats almost half the car price!!!so i figure 30-35mph would have totaled it... but sh

bah, my gf crashed her SSM xa just a few months after getting, then just as soon as she got it back, she freaking totaled it, she just can't figure out that whole concept of yielding to oncoming traffic when making a left turn. sheesh.
