They will quote close to 2 hours per corner, so depending on their labor rate it will be in the $400+ ballpark.

In reality it should not take them more than 2-3 hours to do the entire car (took me 2.5 hours in my garage with no help).

Don't forget to add another $75 or so for alignment.

Dealer will install the springs - it's not done at the factory or port, so you are at the dealer's mercy.

TRD springs come with a decent install manual, wasn't much of a challenge. And spring compressor is necessary to remove the front stock springs - other than that it's all done by hand. Spring compressor can be "rented" for free from Autozone or a pretty much any other parts store.

I think the main thing would be to make sure you don't drop the compressor with the compressed spring in it. A spring popping out and punching a hole in your chest will probably ruin your day.

That's a very good way to approach things. I didn't jump into installing springs by myself either. A friend of mine helped me do the Matrix that I used to have, then we did my tC, and after that I started doing installs for people myself in my little garage. xD was the first install that I didn't have anybody watching my back or ready to dial 911 if half a car landed on my lap.

haha, well congrats on that. lol.

so u think we can do it, cause this is both our first time to do springs.

any advice? cause i really dont want to screw up his car. or mine when i get it. plus i hear that the manul for the trd spring install is like 43 pages long. that is alot to read.

but i played with legos hard core when i was little so maby it wont be as hard as i think if i look at it as if it where really big legos.

Manual for TRD springs install is 8 pages or so, but they don't mention removing wiper cowl and wiper motor mechanism that I had to remove.

Other than that it's very similar to xA install.

Just common sense, as with most installs. The wiper mechanism was about a dozen bolts and a couple of clips plus two nuts that hold the wipers themselves.

I didn't take pictures - was in a hurry to finish the install before dark (started it after I got home from work). There is nothing really that tricky. Install manual has pictures, too.

if you have the slightest mechanical know-how, you should be just fine. it's a bit intimidating to get under there for the first few times, but i've learned to to most all of my work myself, instead of having a shop overcharge me (my local nissan dealer wanted to charge me 800 f*****g dollars to install springs on my Z31, it took about 3 hours...)

besides, real men like to get dirty :p
good luck, i'd like to hear how these springs feel compared to the stock ones.
