Well, what we have here is the real, new xB dumped ontop of a Yaris chassis. The price has gone up, IMHO, because the Scion market is NOT just West Coast young'uns but people of all ages who like a great value in a vehicle.

I'm an older guy who bought an xB and kept it for 50K miles. Traded for a Yaris hatch and now, with the new model releases, am proud I did. I'll take the Euro-trash styling of my hatch anyday over both the xBoxes. I'm disappointed that Scion didn't make the two cars more different from each other.

 

No offense but Scion is in fact intended for the youth and from what I'm reading it seems like the older crowd are the ones complaining the most about the new Scions. I have yet to get a negative response from any of my friends 18-30 years old on the new Scions ...

but yeah man, sorry to have to break it to ya, but scions were intended for a younger crowd. you old fogey's get to rock your prius' and rav-4's.. ;)

 

Well, my 18 year old friend who has an xB doesn't really like the new one. But he does love the new xD, mainly for its name.

 

I can't stand the new "xd" or as i say the xa2 on account that the apillar,windshield,cowl,front and part of the rear door are identical to the xa as well as the front end being an exaggerated xa front end. If they wanted to make a new model they should have made a sedan, suv, or a 3door hatchback. The new xb is pretty sweet lookin, wouldn't mind owning one of them.
