Default xd highpicth buzzing sound

hi everyone
I got 2800 miles on my xd at, it has developed a highpicth buzzing sound that has
gotten to be very anoying, it happens only when the car is in motion, more so when I let off the gas a little or coasting down a hill, the sound at first was slight and I
thought maybe it was normal.
After several trips to the dealer, service manager tells me they need to get a
specialized factory tech to come look at it.
The sound seems to come from the engine department.
Ive called up scion custumer service to adress this problem, they told me the
dealer is takeing right steps, I feel like they are giveing me the go around at this
point, has anyone had similar problems with their xd, this is my first new car so
Im pretty unhappy,

How are they giving you the run around if they are bringing out a specialized factory tech to look at your car? Had they said nothing was wrong yet you'd insist there was, that would be a run around.

Did you take someone from the service department for a ride in your car to have them hear the noise as well? If you didn't and they believed that you heard the noise then.. they might know something about the xD that they're not telling.

Yes I had dealer tech drive with me on the first appointment I had,and he agreed there
was an abnormal sound, they told me they had to contact scion.
They contact scion, scion says they never heard of the problem before,
the get me in for 2nd appointment, they give me loaner car.
I pick up car from 2nd apt , they tell me they drove a new scion xd off the lot
and it makes the same noise as mine, and it is normal ,I then ask to to drive that same scion,
the service manager goes with me this time, the lot car sounds normal,no high picth
buzzing , I point this out to the manager and he agrees.
then I have the manager drive with me in my car, I point out the noise, he hears it,
he says it windnoise from windsheild, drive a little further he finaly agrees that the
buzzing sound is not normal, and seems to come from engine compartment,
to me this is a go around.

Now if you had stated that in the first post it would have made more sense to say they were giving you a hard time. However they're not. They actually agreed to check the car and give you a loaner for the time being. I could only hope my dealership would be that nice if that happens.

Hm sorry to hear about that- When you contacted Scion, were you given a case number? Are you working with a specialist at this time, or....?

In any case, the right steps are being taken, sounds like the dealership has set up an appointment with the Regional factory technician to come down and inspect the car...
Honestly, I've never heard of this concern before-- but best of luck!

Yes scion gave me a case number, they will work with me and the dealer,
say they should know more later in the week, I will have to be patient for now.
I will keep update when I get this problem solved.
