Default xD LED swap

Just installed my new aluminum LED's from Garage1217.com.
Very happy with them except for one thing: the "trunk" light in the back of my xD is a longer bulb than the main dome.

Correct, Dome light is a 3175, and the cargo is a 3022

For future reference here is a thread containing all of the light sizes for the car.

Wow that is wild! What year is your xd? They fit mine perfectly without issue! It has been so long since I installed one in an xd, that it is possible I bent the tabs on mine to accommodate it which is quick and simple to do if that is what I did as I do not even remember it being an issue. The bulb below is the same size as the aluminum bulbs, 3022. Let me know if I can help further!

2009 xD. Ya, bending it (like in pic above) would certainly work. I hadn't thought of that. But ya, the guys @ Garage1217 were very helpful! You should definitely check with them for any LED work you want to do.

Yep I had the same issue on my 09 xD. I had a pic some where that showed the dome bulb compared to the cargo bulb compared to the LED one from Garage, but for the life of me I cant find where I saved it. I also had to get creative with bending the housing for the cargo light to get the bulb to stay but was able to get it to work. Just needed needlenose pliers. I'm super happy with the blue for the interior as well. Its so blue its almost like a black light. Makes my florecent green work uniform shirts glow so much they hurt to look at!

Edit: Found it!

Garage1217.com - these guys are VERY helpful and exactly what you need.

The festoon bulb #3022 for the main dome comes in Red, White, Blue and Green.

The front map light also comes in Red, White, Blue and Green.
*HOWEVER, this type of White bulb sells extremely fast. They were on back order up until 8-2-09. Just check with them, very cool guys.

The blue headlights in my avatar pic are from the blue LED's put in the head light housings and only the parking lights turned on. With the headlights on they are barely noticable. I've driven past many a cop since I put them in and never a second look. I just cant drive around with only the parking lights on. Cops around here love to chase you down for blue lights on a non emergency vehicle.
