I know that this adjustment is based on how the spring perch is adjusted, but I will be sitting about the same height as your setup and I just want a starting point to minimize the removal and install of the suspension.

Thanks Man
Sup cuball...the front has 1/2" thread out from the bottom and the rear has 1/2" of thread below the spring perch. With this set up, the front sits a little lower than the rear. A little note, no matter how much adjustment you make in the rear to even it out from side to side, it won't work. Well, I didn't for me. For some reason, Scion made the car to sit one side lower than the other in the rear. So, As much as I tried to compensate for the difference on one side, the other follows. LOL. Hope that helps. Feel free to ask for help. I will try and gladly help what I can.

Aloha,

They dont have them listed on their web site, but they can get them. It took about 2 weeks to receive.

Yea....thats a funny thing about the higher side. I thought I put the springs on wrong when I walked around my car the first time. I'm actually 1/2" higher on the passenger side front and rear!

Thanks for the info Pumpkin, I'm sure I will have other questions.

I just finished this up today. Wasn't all the bad really. Did it all on my own. Pretty stoked about the ride. I was on DF 210's and TRD struts, and the ride was a little on the rough side. The Ksports ride very nice! Thanks to Pumpkin for all the setup details.

I will post up some pictures later today.

Hey Bob0Box....whats up brother! That pic was from my phone, not sure how much you could make out. I will email you some of the pics.

Here they are. I know...the Tanabe sticker is coming off. I had to email Ksports for stickers, they didn't come with the coilovers believe it or not. I think I'm going to adjust the back about another 1/2" lower this week.

I know this is the best of pictures, but I was focusing on the back after lowering the back another 1/2". I have maybe 1/4" more before the spring perch bottoms out. Oh and BTW, its not the easiest thing to do. Basically you have to disconnect the struts and the swaybar (if you have one) and let the axle drop low enough take the pressure off the spring perch. It just about the same procedure as installation. Kinda of a pain, but at least you have the option. Unless you are on bags...there is no adjustment.

Looking good cuball. That's what I'm talking about. Glad I could help.

How do you like the ride compared to the springs only set ups you had before? I hope your liking the ksport.

Yea the ride is sweet! A little better than the previous setup. The only problem I'm running into (which I anticipated with it sitting this low) is rubbing up front. I'm getting a little rub on the plastic lining inside the wheel well. I have trimmed it up some, but if I hit a dip in the street with any speed above 20 mph, it drags. So I'm going to try two things. One I'm going to see what 1/4" higher up front will do, and when I take it in for alignment today I'm going t see about a negative camber set to help pull the wheel in just a little.

To be continued...

You can actually camber it yourself. The top mounting hole on the strut is grooved so that you can camber it. I too had some rubbing and I cambered it at home and now no rubbing. I can actually do corners well now. LOL.

Yea...I see that you have some play in the strut for camber. I have adjusted it and it seems ok. But the rub was mostly on the plastic liner insert in the wheel well. I don't want to run too much neg camber, I don't want to go through a set of tires in just a few months. I was told I can run a 0.1 neg camber without causing any unnecessary tire wear, so I'm going to have it setup this way when I get the alignment done next week. And then make mod's to the plastic liner or more if necessary.

Hey Max, the ride is sweet! But not like stock, so don't expect too much.

The TRD wheels are 18x7. I think Pumpkin is running a 18x7.5, and he is running a negative camber to get them to tuck in. I'm running very little negative camber and have a little rubbing at times. I also raised mine up another 1/4", it helped a lot with the rubbing. Here are the latest pics.
