Default Going from Steelies to Alloy

Hey-yo,

Does anyone know if the sensors from the 16" stock black steelie wheels that come with the XD will transfer over to fit on a new 16" Alloy Wheel...

I saw on some dealer and some wheel and tire sites where there is something called a 'sensor fit kit' (4 buks a piece per wheel) for upgraded wheels... Confused ...HELP

Thanks

At least for my wheel (Wedsport), the straight TPMS stems from the xD's steelies didn't fit.

The guys told me that the tC has angled TPMS stems which fit aftermarket applications, since they already have alloys to begin with...but I'm not too sure.

So far I have transferred my TPMS's from my stocks to both my sets of aftermarket rims that I have ran...First were the Enkei Super 7's with no problems and the second ones are the AXIS Decades that I'm currently running and again no problems...

Im not sure but I dont see why you couldn't...As long as you pay attention to the way they are sitting BEFORE you take them out you can reverse the steps to put them in the new rims...

I also, have had no problem moving stock tpms valve stems to my new wheels on both sets, OZ ultralagerras and BBS Meshes.

My bad, sorry Once you let the air out of the tire, you should be able to push the side of the tire far enough down to remove it but I'm not 100% certain?

YOU could, but YOU shouldn't unless you've unmounted a tire before. TPMS are pretty easy to damage. If you do think you're brave enough to do it make sure to break the bead on the side of the tire opposite the TPMS. Past that just grab a wrench and loosen the bolt and it drops out.

For position - I _THINK_ there is a button to reset the position of the sensors to the left and under the steering wheel. I briefly remember reading about this button being a reset in the owner's manual, but please do some research on this before you take my word for it.
