Old Tires
I'm looking forward to get the tC rims for my xD; had been looking at some rims with tires already. Today, I saw a set, the tires are 7/32, but the tire was manufactured in 2006, somewhere around in april (14th week of 2006). The rims look awesome, but I am concerned about the age of the tires. Any opinions or thoughts? Should I be concerned? Btw, the tires were kept outdoors and they were covered, sitting in the back porch. South Florida.
inspect them. what i like to do is take a wet sponge and run it over the tires just to make sure there are no cracks or leaks or anything
Edit: I was doing some research on this and it seems that several companies recommend a replacement at around 6 years old.
just one article I read
