i have a set of 06 tinted tails with VHT and i got pulled over last night ... i am lookin to see if n e one knows where i can get a set of led bulbs or just brighter bulbs plz HELP ME ....

 

LED's will make the housing appear dimmer.

i doubt brighter bulbs are going to solve your problem. tinting your tails is illegal in the first place.

in day time no... but thats not when i got pulled over i got pulled at 9 at night...yea i may have to pull a layer off... thanks for help

 

Your best bet would be to take the tint off, that is too dark, especially for the 08s since they have a small brake light anyways.

Damn thats crazy, I'm having the same problem and was going to ask until I found this thread! But tinting is legal in DE sorta but they have to be visible from 500' is the law! so does anyone sell OEM brighter lights? Mine are the same color (BSP code off my car to match) but even with reg OEM bulbs (which you can see from 500') cops still pull me over to give me a hard time! So I figured id make them a lil brighter and see what happens! Im also going to try and get a court to acknowledge there legit from 500' (yeah i know, good luck)!!

 

iam still lookin for an oem brighter bulb but i dont think there is one....and who told u 500 feet WV is 200 feet might want to look into the distance..i will let u know if i find n e thing

 

the laws on things like that vary from state to state so its very likely in his state its 500 and yours its 200

 

200 is kind of on the extreme side. Sucks, but I think the only thing you can do at this point is to remove the tint.
