Default Confused!!! <Tail Light Question>

I bought these LED tail lights from this website
http://www.viniati.com/scion-0408-ta...e-p-25687.html
Thinking everything was plug and play when I recieved them I took my bumper off, the stock 08 tail lights off, and then come to find out that all that came in the box were the LED tail lights unit (bulbs or nothing) and a couple of wires connected to a black thing that looks like it should be plugged in somewhere. I haven't took any pics yet but if anyone has any idea of what I need to do or if this is normal for the stuff to come in with nothing but the tail lights and the wires that look like it's connected to the LED's. This is my first time doing a DIY and I was so excited to be removing my bumper and changing the tail lights that when I came back to my sense, the plugs don't look like they match. The stock 08 tail lights itself have like this white plug(female) and the male part seems to be connected to the actual car(or somewhere I don't know of. I'm a complete newb when it comes to modding vehicles but for some odd reason I feel like I didn't get all the parts I was suppose to get. Am I suppose to remove the bulbs on the 08 tail lights and put them in the new tail lights I have now? I tried to do that but then I'm left with an extra bulb. Please help!!

well the bulbs should be from your stock bulbs, and they should pop into those ones just like they do the stock units. as for the LED section, I'd have to see it. is there a spot for your reverse bulbs? if not, then the LEDs probably act as your reverse lights. if not, and there's a section for all the bulbs (turn/brake/reverse) then the LED section should be tapped into the night time running lights (when you turn on your headlights) i dont drive a tC so im not entirely sure which wires those would be, but just splice into those for the LED's if you want them to run while you have your lights on. you could actually do alot with them, since theres no place to directly hook them up to. just splice into w/e you want them to run off, and youre good.

i have the led tails that anzo made, but its the same thing, when you first look at them it seems like youre missing something, but with the 08 tails, all you have to do is remove the wiring for the bulbs themselves from the old lights and plug that into the new tails. the hookups for the new tail light should attach into where the bulbs went for the 08 tails, then you plug the old wiring back into the car. just make sure everything matches up...some of the plug ins have 2 metal strips, some have 3. if you keep swapping them around, youre gonna blow the fuse for your brake/tails setup, so be careful.

Did you ever get them to work.......where are you located......there is most likely someone around here that is close enough to help get it hooked up.
