Rattles
I've had my xB since July 2008. I bought it used with 6000 miles. Right now I have a little over 15000 miles.
When I originally test drove the car, I remember complete silence, no rattles anywhere.
Recently I have been noticing rattles. To be specific, there are three distinct places I hear them. One was the rear licence plate frame rattling against the licence plate, I took care of that one today. The other sounds like it's somewhere in the dash board. The third sounds like it's inside of the passenger door. I've taken the door apart to see if it could have been done when I replaced the speakers, but didn't find anything.
Has anyone had any similar rattles? Any ideas on how to fix the dashboard rattle?

Same hear, I have one somewhere in left side of the dash or in the a pillar and the rear left seat rattles too. I'm seriously considering sound deadening the entire vehicle soon.
I occasionally hear a pass door rattle, but rarely (it seems to be an issue for many). My other annoying rattle was the dash in front of the passenger. I found it I pressed down between the two passenger vents, it would stop.
I took it upon myself to install a spacer in the gap below that section and the gap between the section that comes up from the cubby hole over the glove compartment. It put a little upward pressure on the rattle section (i was hoping the upward pressure would work in the same way my downard pressing did) and it appears to have worked.
I could have taken it to a dealer, but rattle investigation with a dealer is a PITA.
