the speedo meter can read faster/slower when u choose wrong size of tires..
i assume it can read more mileage than it actually does....

is it true?? if so, i rather choose the one read less mileage...speedo doesnt really matter to me...

 

get larger wheels and tires that stock to have less mileage, and smaller to have more mileage.

personally i don't care about mileage since i'm going to run my xB into the ground and then send it over a cliff burning. but hey, to each his own.

Well, when you put it that way, I guess you nailed it with: NO Job. Oh and you don't have to have 35 series on 18. 45series fit also.

205/40R17 is within the ±3% spec, but it is not the closest tire size available to factory sizing. A 205/40R17 tire will give you the following speedometer / odometer readings: At 50 mph you will be going 49.4 mph, and when you have driven 1,000 miles, your odometer will read 1,012 miles.

 

With the stock tires and wheels the speedo and odo aren't all that accurate either!

Having a different size wheel/tire combo won't really change the mileage on your car. Because if you think about it, if your car has driven 100 miles, it has driven 100 miles. Sure, the wheels may have spun more or less times depending on the size of your tires, but the car has still travelled 100 miles! Of course, if you're concerned about whether the odometer matches the true mileage covered by your car, then that's another story! But that's usually only a concern when you're considering selling the car imo...
