Default KSport Pros Clanking Sound

HI,

I have K-sport coilovers and i keep hearing a clanking sound. I think that it is the coils touching togethor.

How would i go about diagnosing this and have others had this problem thanks.

get some spring wrap at the auto parts store, its an easy fix, jack up the front end, and wrap the cold that are touching / clanging when you hit bumps

Sometimes the center nut holding the damper shaft to the top hat will back off, retighten it. My other advice , get rid of the ksports. Ksport and Megan racing coilovers are made very cheaply and noises/ failures are almost to be expected.

^^ I have had my ksports for about 4 years. I have put them through the ringer and have had no problems. Not sure how much exposure you have had with Ksports, but mine have been excellent.

The issue with the clunking. At one time I did experience something similar, especially when making turns. I found that that the adjustment ring was too far up on the spring (compressing the spring), and not allowing the spring to move freely (binding)

Make sure the adjust ring is not compressing the spring too much. You want it snug.
