Default I need some advise

Hey guy I have a 2005 XB and want to drop it. I have the 18s on it and want the fender to come to the top of the tire. How ever I don't want to do the whole 45 degree angle over a speed bump thing. Also I want a good ride for when I drive from North Carolina to South Dakota. What all do I need? Like what Spring and shocks/ struts? And everything I'm forgetting about. Thanks for any help guys.

Tein coilovers could run anywhere where from $800.00 & up depending on which type you get & where you get them from. Now this set up or even springs with a 2" inch w/ 18"'s wheels should get your tire @ the fender line. Now depending on where you live & they height of speed bumps, dips, or inclined driveways if any you might have to angle the car to avoid scratching, but if you dont care then you dont have to worry about it.

I do care, I don't want to trash my XB. Most importantly I want a setup that rides good. Especially as I'll be driving from NC to OH to SD and back to NC next month. Last thing I need is my wife upset about the ride up there. I will have to stick with just a spring setup right now as most of my money is going to getting my Lightning back to the drag strip. So what do I need to know about Springs. What all do I need? Will I have to change shocks if so which kind are best for what I'm wanting? Thanks agin for the help.

TRD's or Tein S-Tech springs if you don't want to spend a lot of money. You can get either of the two for under $200. Only thing is that I doubt you would be able to get away with not having to do the "45 degree" angling for speedbumps or driveways if you plan to lower the car.

I would go the gold line route ............nice drop of 2" on all four corners and the ride is great . I have took my mother in law for many road trips and she is 82 and she loves it!
