Default is there something wrong with my suspension..??

when my wheels turn at full lock to the right ..they feel as if they are running over something..like a bump.

my car is lowered on tanabe df10. with stock wheels..
sometimes when i hit potholes..or my tire absorbs shock..it makes a thud too..but seems to be only on the left side..

anyone have suggestions..i looked under but i couldn't see anything....i can't figure out what my tire is bumping..or bouncing against to make that sound..

I couldn't tell you for sure but on my previous dodge ram I raised it and put big @$$ wheels on it and when I made a hard turn left or right the wheel was actually rubbing on the inside of the wheel well on the plastic and it made a tumping sound. I would imagine that is what your car is doing.

when you experience sumthing that is associated with turning to one side, that usually means sumthing is wrong.

is there any abnormal wear marks on the tires? could be a rubbing issue if you see wear in the wrong places

there shouldnt be any rubbing at all on steelies. i'm dropped about 3 inches up front and have NO rubbing. hmm either the mud guard is misplaced and flapping and such or something suspension wise is bent. aka tie rod or maybe a sway bar link is messed ?

Have someone outside checking things out as you SLOWLY roll with the wheels turned in the directions that cause the noise.

I had that same problem for the past few days. DF210's on stock struts, 17" wheels.

So I got the chance to take it apart. Looked around, all the bolts where tights, everything seemed in its place. I then lifted up the dust boot. To my supries the tanabe bump stop had SPLIT!!!! in two and come off the strut shaft. So instead of bump stoping, the strut was bottoming out.

If a tie rod is bent, even if only by a fraction of a degree, you would experience severe vibrations and steering irregularities while travelling at slow speeds even. I bent a tie rod on my girlfriend's Altima and the car hopped up and down and was very difficult to keep straight while going sub 5mph.

This happened to me too. You need to check the nut under the hood and make sure that it is tightened good. I had a noise like that once and it was because it was loose. Also it could be that when you turn your wheel the spring could be turning in the shock mounts, making a clicking sound. If it still makes those noises after you tighten the bolts then i dont know what to tell you.

The way the suspension is designed with most car that have an macpherson strut setup will lean as you turn the wheel. This is normal. If you lower the car with springs or the like, you are changing the static height that the car rests at. With this said, the tie rod ends will need to be adjusted(ie. alignment) to get rid of the problem. To further supress any future problems with the clunking and hopping as well would be to get lowered struts and shocks, stiffer spring rate to compensate for the shorter shaft height. These will decrease your body roll, decrease or eliminate the grabbing effect and increase comfort in driving. I would recommend either kyb agx, which have adjustable dampening, or tein shocks struts, also with adjustable dampening. I really don't recommend the trd struts and shocks unless you want a really stiff ride.
