Default 4 tires? $221? Am I being cheap?

I was searching on ebay and found these set of tires.

Tires

Not that I'm getting these for sure. But these are the size tires I would get, and I knnow Nankang is a fairly known brand. I dont know about the quality of these though.

I'm not sure what is good as far as treadwear, and I know I'm not going to be racing my xB. Should I be suspicious of tires being sold on ebay? Thats like $55 a tire.

There are lots of other brand tires sold on ebay that are just as cheap.

I can get the set of wheels I want for about $350, so if I can get tires for $225ish and shipping... That is still around $600, which is pretty damn good. And then getting them put on in the shop... So do you think I'm being cheap? Any suggestions as far as tires? Thanks! Just doing alot of research before I get my stuff (wont be awhile anyway...gotta keep saving)[/url]

I would definitely go with the Kumho Ecsta over the Nankang. Kumho still isn't the best, but I think you will be much happier with those for the money than the Nankang. I run the Kumho on my Prelude, and they are a decent tire for the money.

if you go to victoriatire.com, they have a nice selection of wheels. They come with nankang tires mounted and free shipping for a total of around 780 for 17s and around 900 for 18s.

At least that's for the black w/polished lip. Some are less expensive and some like chrome are a little more. But they have great deals.

I really like black wheels.

I've narrowed it down to

Rota D2's, Drag DR11s, ADR Competition...

I've seen some other look-a-likes like Speedy Lite 5... ANd I cant find a black Axis GTR-4... ANd Nex-o GS-5...

If I can get wheels between $300-400 I'm good. Thats why I was looking at ebay.

Because then I can get tires on ebay also. I could probably save a hundred bucks or two. I've looked at victoriatire, but from what I remember they didnt have any of the wheels I wanted. ANd shipping was expensive. I'll take double looks...

I just dont wanna be cheap and then my tires go crap on me ya know?

After buying my rims, I had to go a little cheep and I purchased the
Nankang's. I have to say that in wet Washington state the tires
have twice the grip as the stock ones did (great for not hydroplaning).
With 10,000 miles on them they still look almost new. They feel a
little heavy, but I did go from the stock 15 to 17" rims.

That would take me the rest of hte year to save up haha. I'm a senior in high school, I run track, I'm in the school band, and I have my own band... I only have time to work like 10-15 hours a wee at $7. I only make like $250 a month. Not to mention I have a phone bill and I pay for my own gas. Luckily my rent at my parents house is free =P

But yeah, I'm going so cheap because I don't work enough to make that much money. I try and make extra bucks here and there. And I work at a party store, so when a holiday rolls around I get extra hours=extra bucks. I have a few hundred available but I'm expecting some more cash in the next 2 months.

So I'm trying to keep this DEFINATELY under $900, $800 preferably. If I can get a wheel/tire package for $600-700 thats even better, which is what I was looking at.

I know alot of people go with Nankang's, so those are going to be my top choice. I dont want to skimp out on something like tires though, damn california highways are crap.
