Default any help w/ facotry tires... had a blowout..

Seems that I got a dud.. or I got one that had issues.. but it blew the sidewall out today.. w/ only 1290 miles on the xB..

was right rear if it matters.. had about 900lbs of passenger's.. (me.. boss.. his 3 kids..) maybe a little less.. was doing about 30 on a major road here in Lubbock.. stopped.. as I slowed felt the THUMP THUMP THUMP.. got over to a safe spot asap.. changed it out.. didn't bother with roadside.. since I kinda figure between me (been driving 11 years.. have changed about 100 tires..) and the boss ( 12 years as a mechanic.. and owner of various cars.. I would guess he's changed a 1000 if not more tires) we could do this.. got the donut on.. got him and the kids home.. called my Scion Dealer here.. closed.. LM.. called roadside.. they said.. ohh you have a contract.. you don't need us.. but here talk to these ppl.. xfered.. LM..

So.. any idea on Out of Pocket cost on me for this..

Only had the toaster since June 10th.. so tommarow is my 1 month..

Drag out the owners' manual package- your blow tire should be covered under warranty. Direct from Goodyear, iirc, but the info is in the folder I got when I bought my box...

Out of pocket should be zero...

There is usually a seperate warranty for the tires. Look in your package you got when you bought the box. You will need to read that and see about the coverage. I am sure they will not cover road hazzard--only defects. Good Luck!!

That is a defect. I'd say if the sidewall blew out, he didn't run over a nail or anything. It should be covered unless you hit a pothole or something.
