Do not cut your springs........ever! They'll never be right and you'll end up buying another set anyway. there are alot of threads out here that tell horror stories.

OK well in that case. Your vehile will more than likely not set even on all 4 corners. You will lose the spring rate on the spring, there will probably be sagging, it will be super bouncy, and you could actually danage the rest of the suspension. I.E. control arms, end links, tie rods and the steering if it isn't done properly. To be honest there really isn't any way to cut a spring properly. Like I said before there are tons of post on the form about cutting springs. Matter of fact there's on on the fron page right now.

For one cut springs will fall out on the rear unless they are tack welded into place. 2. They will pop out of position in the front cause the spring pocket doesn't heve the right ramp angle after the first lower coil is cut.
An easier/safer way if you don't want to buy springs is to buy some spring clamps and clamp 2 coils together to achieve a drop for much less. It will leave the mounting points alone so the springs won't fall out or shift during operation.
