Anyone have experience with Sumitomo tires. They have about a 10,000 mile extra tread warranty then Falkens or Kumhos for around the same price. Running 215 40R 17s. Have not seen too many tire reviews in searchs I have done..............
Sumitomo HTR 200 will be my next tire. Not the stickiest but a good LRR summer tire that also performs pretty darn well according to users reviews at tirerack.com

The reviews rank it number 1 high performance summer tire.
My previous car had an extre 2000 lbs of weight so it needed much stickier tires to help keep it in line. But the xB is so much lighter that I can get away with a little less grip. Heck with just the Whiteline swaybar in the rear and the crappy all season touring tires I inherited from the previous owner the xB handles almost as well as my old Impala SS. A few more tweaks to the suspension and better tires and I'll be in heaven.
I'm choosing the HTR 200 because I only see dry and rain. No snow. Most LRR tires have poor handling so I've stayed away from them. But these seem to be a good middle of the road tire. Good tire life, LRR, and good grip and a VERY good price. Heck I used to spend on one tire for the SS what I can get all 4 for the xB and my tires would only last about 20k miles. I drive hard.
